Henry Street Hot List with Dublin Fashion
This week, Dublin Fashion guest blogger @Nuala Gorham brings us her latest summer essentials to pick up while exploring Henry Street.
Espadrilles
The humble espadrilles has evolved from practical to popular in no time at all. Last year espadrilles became trendier than ever and the humble Soludos brand became a style staple. Their tie-back Soludos which were a sell-out success have seemingly influenced the fashion world this season with Aquazzura and Whistles both bringing out their own versions of the ankle strap espadrilles.
I couldn’t be more excited Dublin’s favourite department store Arnotts are now stocking Soludos and have all of the mot popular styles available in a variety of colours. I had ordered a pair online (before I knew Arnotts would have them) but the sizing is small and I did get charged customs so I would highly recommend popping into Arnotts if you are thinking of purchasing. I chose a cream and black striped pair which were €75 and couldn’t be more in love with them.
Skirting Around..
The sixties style A-line skirt is having a fashion moment for SS’15 and I couldn’t be happier. They’re flattering and comfortable and cool – what’s not to love? The trend couldn’t be easier to style. Mix up the look to bring the skirt from day to night and simply add opaque tights on those dreary days.
Denim Button Front Skirt, €46, Warehouse
Faux Suede Skirt, €33, River Island
Grey Suede Skirt, €72, Warehouse
Cream Cord Buttoned Skirt, €46, Topshop
Lunch Spot..
I recently ate in Clodagh’s Kitchen which is located upstairs in Arnotts, and would highly recommend it. I had a goats cheese and beetroot salad which was also loaded with walnuts and much more, and a side of seasoned roast potatoes. It’s also the perfect location.
Best Beauty Buy..
I’m loving Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Eraser concealer at the moment. It’s great for brightening up under the eyes and I also use it to contour. It blends so easily which makes things a lot easier on those rushed early mornings. It’s available from most pharmacies for only €11.99.
