PORTERHOUSE BREW CO. X SILVERSKIN ROASTERS

A UNIQUE COLLABORATION FOR LIMITED EDITION COFFEE INFUSED STOUT

Porterhouse Brew Co. Silverskin Barrel Aged Coffee Stout now available in store and online

Coffee and stout lovers are in for a treat, as masters of innovation and renowned pioneers of craft brewing Porterhouse Brew Co. has just launched its Aged Coffee Stout as a limited release. The release is a collaboration bringing Porterhouse Brew Co Stout and Silverskin Coffee together, in a rich, chocolatey, coffee driven barrel aged partnership, and the result is the first Barrel Aged Imperial Coffee Stout in Ireland made with cold brew.

Available online, in store and in selected off licences from today, the Aged Coffee Stout (ABV 13%) is priced at RRP €7.00 per 440ml can and is available for a limited time with only 7,000 cans produced.

To create the stout the boiling process took 24 hrs to concentrate the malt flavours and develop other complex flavours.? Towards the end of fermentation ground coffee additions introduced the coffee flavour.? The resulting beer was matured for nine months in Dingle Distillery Bourbon casks and following this ageing process a second addition of coffee was made, this time as a cold brew into the conditioning tanks before canning.

The barrel aged coffee stout with cold brew adds an increased flavour profile and the result is an imperial stout full of rich flavour. Smooth tasting with a distinctive coffee aroma, the stout has hints of chocolate, toffee and vanilla alongside roasted coffee.

Porterhouse Brew Co. Marketing Manager, Doug Leddin comments, “Our Aged Coffee Stout is the perfect drink for coffee lovers. We’re delighted to collaborate with Silverskin Roasters to create this limited-edition stout for coffee and stout fans to enjoy at home for a limited time. Serve chilled and savour the rich, distinctive flavour.”

Brian Kenny, Owner, Silverskin Coffee Roasters, comments, “We were thrilled to work on this innovative project with Porterhouse Brew Co. Having started our business in 2012, we’ve been fresh roasting coffee in Dublin since, using the most technologically advanced and efficient roaster on the market and sourcing fresh, specialty coffee from some of the best farms in the world. It’s wonderful to partner with an equally innovative brand to produce this unique stout.”

Porterhouse Brew Co. strives to embrace and create increasing complexity in beer, focusing on exceptional flavours derived from pure, simple ingredients.
