Cafés in Dublin

  • Fri, 6 Jun 2025

There are numerous coffee shops throughout Dublin, but to find the best of the best, the cream of the crop, takes a good bit of knowledge and time, so we decided to help you out. Here are our suggestions for the best coffee shops in all of Dublin.

Top-Rated Coffee Shops:

Coffee is a staple of Dublin living, so there is no scarcity of cafés in Dublin. Here are our suggestions for the best-rated places for you to enjoy a cup of coffee in Dublin.

Cookieboy:

Cookies and coffee? Count me in. Cookieboy has some of the best homemade cookies you can get in all of Dublin, and their coffee is no different. If you’re looking for a cup o’ joe, then we think you should check out Cookieboy.

Laine, My love:

Laine has everything you could want from a café: a nice, peaceful atmosphere, super-friendly staff and of course, some fantastic coffee.

Keoghs Café:

Keogh’s believes in community, so they are very focused on sustainability, supporting local businesses and consistency. What I mean by consistency is that Keogh’s uses the same time-honoured techniques to bring you the greatest baked and brewed goods that they can.

All Rosey:

All Rosey is a Brazilian cafe located on King Street. They sell everything you would expect from a coffee shop, but they also make and sell their own homemade brigadeiros, which is a chocolatey Brazilian dessert/treat.

Vice Coffee Inc:

Vice Coffee works out of WigWam on Abbey Street, and they serve what I consider to be the best Irish coffee around. Their teams’ dedication to making perfect cups of coffee is staggering.

Be Sweet Cafe:

Be Sweet’s ethos is kindness and sweetness, and we know you will find someone to pour a more heartfelt coffee than any other in Be Sweet.

Coffee angel:

Whether you are looking for just a cup of coffee, your very own coffee beans or maybe you’re making your own brewing station at home, no matter what your reason may be for entering Coffee Angel’s wonderful shop, we know you won’t leave disappointed.

beanhive coffee:

Beanhive started as only a good name for a shop, little did the owners know that Beanhive would come to fruition in 2013. I’d argue the only thing better than the name is the café itself. The staff and vibes are always very friendly and welcoming, and of course, it goes without saying, but their coffee is superb, I mean, look at the photo!

Specialities and Unique menu items:

Specials in cafés are sometimes hard to come by, so we’ve compiled some of our favourite specials for all of you café fans out there.

Kaph Café:

Kaph has its own special house blend of coffee that you can buy in their wonderful shop. We aren’t sure what’s in their signature blend, but we do know how good it tastes.

Recanto Brazil:

Recanto serves its very own traditional Brazilian meals, some of which you may have heard of before. From frango a parmigiana to feijoada, there is something to try for everyone at Recanto, and we know they couldn’t be happier for you to visit.

Be Sweet Café:

Be Sweet frequently has speciality drinks for various seasons or occasions throughout the year, but my favourite would have to be Be Tranquil, which has lavender and beetroot, and we’re sure it will make you very tranquil indeed.

Vice Coffee Inc:

Vice also frequently has speciality drinks and once again, my favourite would have to be the Malted Hot Choc, which, as you can probably guess, is Malteser hot chocolate, but ohhhhh man is it good.

All Rosey:

For anyone who doesn’t know, brigadeiros are a traditional Brazilian Sweet, and you can find them right here in Dublin, on King Street, in All Rosey. They have a multitude of options for you to choose from, with each one of them being as good as the last.

Wall and Keogh:

Wall and Keogh have been a tea haven for 15 years, so they know their way around tea, and they have numerous house blends for you to give a try, if you’re as big a tea fan as they are.

Póg :

You’ll find an array of different choices when it comes to meals at Póg, they have speciality avocado toast, salad and even their very own brownie, but in our opinion, the one that sits above all else in terms of flavour and perfection is Póg’s special tuna melt, tuna cheese, tomato and rocket on toasted sourdough, I’m getting hungry just writing about it.

Customer Reviews and Testimonials:

We know that all these cafés are some of the best you can find in Dublin, but don’t take our word for it, because we have added reviews for each of the cafés recommended in this post.

Cookieboy:

“The best cookies in Dublin. The guy in here is soooo nice, really good customer service. Couldn’t recommend enough. The chocolate walnut is amazing, and the pecan double chocolate is too. Can’t wait to try the cheesecake one later.”

All Rosey:

“Came here after reading all the good reviews, and it did not disappoint. Cosy little spot on the corner of the street by Stephen’s Green.
Coffee is amazing! A perfect flat white. The Colombian beans used are superb!
Friendly and polite staff. There are two small tables to sit sipping your coffee and plenty of benches around too. On a sunny day – coffee paradise soaking some sun.”

Central Brew Coffee:

“My partner and I had a wonderful breakfast for a very reasonable price at the Central Brew Coffee.
The chocolate croissant and the granola bowl were delicious, and the hot drinks were exceptional. I had a decaf latte, and it is comfortably one of the best decaf drinks I’ve had. I highly recommend!”

Vice Coffee Inc:

“Went in to try their signature Irish coffees, and they didn’t disappoint! Shared the Fancy Frankie and Luxurious Linda with my partner, and both were fragrant, flavourful and very smooth. The staff were also friendly and happy to chat about them to us.”

Hot Bubble Cafe:

“One of the best spots in Dublin to have breakfast, brunch, lunch. Lovely place, friendly staff.
I had a wrap, tortilla, and veggies that were super fresh, and the coffee was unreal. Definitely recommended.”

Be Sweet Café:

“Never even knew this quaint little place existed. Came across it by chance and was instantly intrigued + I was ready for a cup of coffee. Thought I’d just do a takeaway and walk on, but the decor, display and friendliness of the staff made it a very easy choice for me, and I decided to sit in instead. The ceiling decoration is absolutely gorgeous, and so is the presentation of the food. Golden peacock plates? Yaasss!!! And the mugs… Can you tell why I decided not to just grab a coffee and walk on? It’s also quiet and calm, which is so so so good in a bustling city centre.”

Coffee angel:

“Really nice place, a little bit expensive, but it’s worth it. Love everything in this coffee shop. A friend recommended this place, and now we know why. It’s worth the visit. Their almond croissant is soooo delicious, and the coffee is well prepared. We’ll be back soon ”

Beanhive Coffee:

“We were sitting outside, and the staff turned the heat on outside without us having to ask. I got a matcha latte, and it might be the best matcha I’ve ever tasted. For food, I got the one called Irish breakfast, and my dad got the super breakfast. Everything was very delicious. We have no complaints. We highly recommend this place. ”

Roasted Bean Coffee Company:

“Popped in here for a coffee before getting a train from Connolly station. Such sweet and friendly staff, they brightened up my day (and that of everyone who came in!). Heartwarming to stumble across places like these. ”

Laine, My Love:

“Really nice coffee, definitely the best in the area! I go out of my way to stop in. I like that they offer smaller sizes as well. Great spot to people watch or get some work done. ”

The Bakehouse:

“Stopped in here on the way to the train for some breakfast and coffee. Got a bacon and egg breakfast burger and the most delicious coffee! We were also given a cute little cupcake complimentary to go with our coffee! ”

Recanto Brazil:

“All the staff are polite and friendly. The morning hours are not crowded. They have great desserts and breakfast or lunch options. They are delicious, clean and have large enough portions. Takeaway and dine-in offer options. A place where you can always find a place. Obrigado! ”

The Tram Café:

“I enjoyed a lemon drizzle and poppyseed slice of cake. It tasted fresh, balanced with good ingredients.
The coffee was superb. Not bitter or burnt. But rich and smooth. The staff woman was very polite.
The interior is cosy and aesthetically pleasing. The music was nice jazz singing. Very calm and relaxing place.”

Keoghs Café:

“One of my favourite cafes I’ve eaten at in Dublin. The food was amazing, and the service was phenomenal. They were accommodating of my dietary needs and so patient with my questions. I got the vegan raspberry scone, and omg it was so good! I’m not usually a jam person, but I enjoyed their jam. The eggs were delicious, the Irish breakfast tea was smooth, and the food was plentiful. 10/10 would highly recommend.”

Kaph Café:

“Rarely post reviews, but had to write one for Kaph. Visited on a busy Friday afternoon. I was greeted with a friendly smile and was surprised by the quick service. Well-oiled engine type of stuff. Loved the matcha. Great vibes, will be back!”

We hope that this guide helped you find your new go-to café in the wild world of coffee that is Dublin Town.
