The Perfect Pancakes at Balfes Dublin

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Austin Byrne, the head chef of Balfes,at this smart casual fine dining restaurant at the Westbury Hotel. Austin talked us through the overall menu and how with the restaurant they focus a lot on creating dishes that are Promoting healthy eating and allergy free. They have put in a lot of time and effort with their neighbor  BodyByrne Fitness to ensure that they create healthy  options to cater for all.


1. Their Blueberry and Bacon Pancakes with maple Syrup.

These are your traditional pancakes that are made with melted Butter self raising flower, whole eggs, whole milk,  fuller miller caster sugar,  baking powder, bread soda and salt. They are then finished off with the freshest assortment of blueberries,blackberries and strawberries,

2. The Body Byrne oat Pancakes cooked with coconut oil.

These  healthy option pancakes are a special reciepe that Balfes have on their menu. They are called their BodyByrne oat pancakes, cooked in coconut oil. With these mouthwatering pancakes they come with a choice of Berries and agave nectar, scrambled eggs and avocado or Organic almond butter to add flavor.

These pancakes are truly one of the best your going to taste in the city this Pancake Tuesday!
