Magee 1866 is celebrating its 150th year this year in the fashion industry and has just opened a new flagship store on Dublin’s South Anne Street. Infamous for their tailored suits and Donegal tweed jackets, the iconic family retailer is a much anticipated addition to the Grafton Quarter with their new collection in tow.
To celebrate their anniversary, Magee have designed a limited edition 150th accessory collection. The collection features three unique pieces – a scarf, pashmina and throw – all woven in their mill in Donegal.
Each accessory has the same pattern, inspired by the topography of Donegal. Naturally the colours which feature are greens, purples, blues and yellows with the base colour being camel.
In addition, they have also designed their 150th SS16 menswear collection. This collection is a celebration of their long, genuine heritage in fabric and garment design amassed over 150 years.
It consists of sleek 3 piece suits, tailored jackets, cashmere jumpers, cotton shirts and canvas trousers. Soft camels, greys, blues and whites feature throughout.
Magee 1866 also has a store in Arnotts. Here they have a large selection of suits, coats, jackets, trousers and shirts. The Staff are experts at measuring gentlemen for personally tailored garments, from suits & jackets to sports blazers.
