  • Mon, 3 Sep 2018

Whether you’re a tourist or a Dubliner, when you are in Dublin’s city centre, don’t miss an opportunity to take a photo for your instagram page at one or all of these 9 picture perfect spots.

Some of them are historic, some popular, but what’s in common is they’ll help you get those all-important likes!

Umbrella’s of Anne’s Lane

One of the most Instagrammable spots from Dublin at the moment is the umbrella display at Anne’s Lane, close to Grafton Street. Just find the perfect angle and you’re set to post! Located in the lane is Zozimus and the Sporting Emporium. It’s also where menswear store Dorian Black resides.

Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre

The glassy interior of St Stephen’s Green shopping Centre will leave you speechless. Time stops here, and while in the center, you can have lunch in their food hall or drinks at Sinnots bar located underneath.

The Spire Dublin

As the tallest sculpture in the city it’s hard to miss so a perfect location for your next insta post. Standing next to the Spire, why not take a selfie in front of the historic building of GPO, as well. Located just up the street is Irish restaurant Flanagans who will keep your hunger satisfied , and we recommend Murrays bar to quench your thirst.

City Cow

While taking time out from your shopping, in the centre of Dublin, you might find it interesting to take a picture with a cow! Not an actual one, a sculpture called ‘City Cow’, which is located next to the Tram cafe where you can also get a great coffee or head over to The Church bar with lots of food and drinks on offer – great picture opportunities in there too!

The Ha’penny Bridge

The Ha’penny bridge, officially the Liffey bridge, will bring you back to the past. Thankfully you don’t have to pay to cross over anymore! Take your picture of the bridge from sitting in The Woollen Mills restaurant, or when getting an Italian coffee at Il Fornaio. Or when it’s quiet enough get your snap on the steps.

Molly Malone

Popular with tourists, the Molly Malone statue has been making people smile since she first arrived to the city in 1988. After getting a snap with the bronze beauty, you can have a laugh watching others get the same photo from O’Neills Pub & Kitchen, Suffolk Street.

O’Connell bridge

O’Connell bridge and the statue of Daniel O’Connell, a celebrated figure in Irish history. Get both iconic spots in one, by standing on the bridge with the statue in the background. Or have your snap taken a picture standing in front of him. While you are there, find the perfect Irish souvenir or gift from Carroll’s Irish Gifts on O’Connell Street.

Trinity College Dublin

This world renowned college has so many different places to get an insta shot. As soon as you enter the gate at Trinity College, you will find yourself in the middle of the university’s beautiful, historic buildings. Take your selfie there, or try a panorama photo. Across the road, you can enjoy coffee and a complimentary chocolate at Butler’s Chocolate café or a meal at Porterhouse Central.

Drury Buildings

Add colour to your Instagram account at Drury buildings. Two artists from France and Spain meet in Dublin for art and created an amazing mural on the front of the building and it looks magic in a insta snap. After your snap, enjoy some nibbles or a beverage in the Drury Buildings itself.
