The Sam’s Barbers Experience
The first thing you notice when you walk into Sam’s Barbers on Ormond Quay Lower is the new decor. I’ve had my hair cut in the old Sam’s and the new face lift is fantastic. It’s really cool how it’s all brand new yet it looks like its a hundred years old. The design brief was to take the shop back to the roots of Sam’s barbers, who are 3rd generation master barbers.
Everything from the chairs, sinks, mirrors and shelving with old style hair products make you feel like you are in the hands of a master barbers.
The second thing that grabs your attention is the warm welcome from your barber, I was being looked after by Daniel who greeted me with a firm hand shake and a ‘Good evening Sir, welcome to Sam’s. Before getting into the haircut Daniel asked me if I would like a drink, the impressive choices were Irish Craft beer or whiskey or tea or coffee… of course I went for the beer!
I had a haircut and a hot towel shave on this visit. The hot towel shave included a facial and shoulder massage (I nearly fall asleep during this part). The attention to detail from Daniel on both the hot towel shave and the hair cut was incredible.
A trip to Sam’s Barbers is more than a haircut, it is an experience! One I recommend highly!
