Dublin Fashion High-Street Hotlist
Nuala’s High-Street Hotlist
This week I’m talking you through the top runway worthy trends that have filtered down the high-street. Check out my top picks from Dublin’s high street….
Sumptuous Suede
When Gucci embraced a throwback to the infamous noughties button down A-line skirt the crowd (or should I say buyers) went wild. The supple suede mini became a must-have overnight and seemingly caught a direct flight from Milan to Dublin because the style is everywhere.
Suede look skirt, €29.99, H&M
Chic Flats
Pointed flats are one of those styles that will always come back. From Audrey Hepburn in the sixties to Valentino’s studded flats, pointed flats are a classic. They’re very chic and oh-so comfortable, what’s not to love? I’m certainly nabbing these from Mango and I know the cost-per-wear will make them a very worthy investment.
Check out Mango’s brand new store on Henry Street!
Leather Pointed Flats, €59.99, Mango
That Denim Dress
There is no denying denim is having a fashion moment right now. The humble fabric has evolved anew and has taken the form of dress, jackets, shirts, skirts – mini and even pencil. Who would have a thought a denim pencil skirt would look so chic? I’m currently lusting after this very cute and easy to wear denim utility dress.
Denim Shirt Dress, €64, Miss Selfridge
Military Meets Ghetto
Khaki is the shade of the season and with Cara, Kylie & Kate Moss herself all stepping out in khaki bombers, the khaki bomber jacket is a very worthy hotlist contender. Topshop released an almost identical khaki bomber jacket before Christmas (only with black cuffs) and something tells me it may have sold out in flash. Not only have the re-relased the style, they’ve also brought us this all khaki style for which I am oh so grateful. See you on payday Topshop.
Khaki Bomber Jacket, €84, Topshop
Calf-Skimming Culottes
Another throwback to our cringey childhood days but this time around culottes get it right. They’re cut well, designed to flatter and make any outfit look chic. Essentially, they’re a cooler version of the midi skirt and that’s just fine in my book.
Tailored Culottes, €50, Warehouse
