Gael Linn, located on Dame Street, has been promoting the Irish language since it was established in 1953.
The main aim of the organisation is to foster and promote the Irish language and its heritage throughout the country. This is done through a range of activities in education, language promotional schemes and business. Gael Linn was awarded the Spiorad 1916 Award by TG4 in 2016.
