Formed in Warrington, England, The Small Fortunes started with Louis Menguy and Louis James writing together through lockdown.

Their debut EP, recorded with David Radahd-Jones at Red City Studios in Manchester, set the tone early: raw and confident. The arrival of bassist Liam Clarke and drummer Adam Christopher in 2024 — followed by Paul Glover on keys in early 2025 — completed the line up.

Built on the backbone of the blues — the grit of Muddy Waters, the drive of John Lee Hooker — and wired with the urgency of modern garage rock, The Small Fortunes deal in energy over polish. There are shades of BRMC and The White Stripes in the mix, but they’re not looking sideways. Everything they do pushes forward.

Their reputation has been built the hard way: onstage. High-impact, no-frills, and relentless, every single one of their live shows has been a sell out.
