Award-nominated online sensation Morgan Rees is set to embark on his first UK stand-up comedy tour with his brand-new show ‘Turning Thirsty’ from 1st May to 27th June 2024, including dates at iconic venues such as the Bristol’s Old Vic, Glasgow’s The Stand and London’s Hackney Empire. Tour tickets are on pre-sale from Wednesday 25th October, followed by general on sale this Friday 27th October.

Morgan Rees is officially 30 and hitting this milestone birthday has got him thirsty…for life. In his debut UK tour, ‘Turning Thirsty’, Morgan is vowing to live his next decade authentically as a proud bisexual man, but not before celebrating the trials and improvements (aka f** ups and perk ups) of his experimental 20s. Covering everything from a cringe-inducing mishap on a nudist beach, making his Mum menopause-busting edibles, his partner’s emasculating magic wand, to his admittedly unique dating icks (porridge lovers beware). Strap in for a unique journey all about unshackling shame and embracing the power of Pride. Also, there will most definitely be jokes about bumming.

Morgan Rees is a comedian, hailing from Wales and boasting a densely packed arsenal of impressive one-liners and hilarious short stories. He has appeared on BBC Radio 4 in the prestigious finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2017, and was a runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny that same year. He was also a finalist in Chortle’s Student Comedy Award in 2020.

Morgan has quickly become an online sensation with his regular videos, amassing over 25 million views and counting, covering everything from the impossible maths behind pay rises, house sharing gripes, to bisexual allies. He also co-hosts the hit podcast Chatting With Cherubs with fellow comedian Josh Jones, talking about queer joy, current affairs (a bit) and mostly nonsense from that week.

He is a regular on the live comedy circuit performing across the UK and has provided tour support for comedians including Fern Brady, Rhys James, Jayde Adams, Nigel Ng and Paul Chowdhry.

Morgan’s debut UK tour will include several BSL interpreted performances, including Bristol, Cardiff, Canterbury, Glasgow, London and Sheffield. He will also be raising funds for local LGBTQIA+ charities throughout the tour, with more details on partners to follow.
