Come and explore the Royal Irish Academy – a hidden Georgian gem tucked away on Dawson Street – this Culture Night. During your visit, you will see beautiful spaces such as the RIA Library Reading Room, where the earliest example of Irish writing, the 6th century Cathach, will be on display, and the Meeting Room, where the Academy’s major meetings, elections and lectures take place. During the evening, visitors will also have a chance to learn about the Academy’s research programmes and to browse the pop-up bookshop. There will be an activity sheet for young visitors to help them discover the best-kept secrets in 19 Dawson Street!
