The Bloomsday Film Festival, the most literary film festival in Ireland, runs from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 June. The popular event blends film and literature in celebration of James Joyce’s relationship with cinema and the city of Dublin.

The Bloomsday Film Festival, the most literary film festival in Ireland, announces their programme of events including a special 20th anniversary screening of Irish director Lenny Abrahamson’s Adam and Paul in partnership with the IFI.

Also also showing at the IFI is experimental film The Disembodied Adventures of Alice directed by Cléa Elisa van der Grijn and Kino Volta directed by Italian -Slovakian director Martin Turk, the real story behind Ireland’s first cinema, the Volta.

The opulent surroundings of the James Joyce Centre will play host to an eclectic array of short films that range from short stories about Dublin to films with a Joycean, literary, poetic and experimental theme.
