Join us for the opening night of Auspicious Eight 2026 Fire Horse on Thursday, 12 February from 6pm to 9pm for an exciting exhibition showcasing nine contemporary artists who celebrate the Lunar New Year. Going into its third year, Auspicious Eight began as a celebration of contemporary artists connected to the Lunar New Year, with the simple premise of treating the Lunar New Year as a normalised holiday in Dublin, much like how St.Patrick’s Day celebrations have been adopted by countries abroad. Since its debut in February 2024, the exhibition has blossomed into a vibrant community with emerging and established artists supporting one another. What’s special about this year is not only the energy of the Fire Horse but that A Takeaway Collective, founded by Jinny Ly and Yuwen Xing which has grown to several members, have organised this year’s exhibition. So come by, grab a cup of tea and relax – ah go on.
