Join IMMA to celebrate Art in Motion: Routes and Roots with an evening of original poetry readings by The Poetry Vigilantes, of Dublin 8’s Fatima Groups United, and the award-winning poet, playwright, and performer Dagogo Hart as compère. This community gathering is presented by IMMA in celebration of the collaborative project, Art in Motion: Routes and Roots, a mobile artwork on a Dublin bus that brings creativity to the streets of Dublin. The artwork was created by artist Alberta Whittle and developed in collaboration with poet Dagogo Hart and community writers group The Poetry Vigilantes.
As part of the evening celebration, a selection of videos capturing the Art in Motion project, from the poetry workshops to the final artwork, will be screened on the museum’s large outdoor screen, Living Canvas at IMMA.
Refreshments will be served as part of the celebration. All welcome!
Art in Motion is brought to you by IMMA in partnership with the National Transport Authority (NTA) under its Transport for Ireland (TFI) brand. Watch out for the Art in Motion bus in your area.
