Our September Teatime Talk is a rehearsed reading of The Snug, a new play in development, written by local playwright and actor Ciara Byrne.
Set against the humming heartbeat of Dublin’s tenements in the 1960s, The Snug follows the life of one woman, a survivor and a regular in the Snug, where she found both escape and community. The Snug shows working class lives in a tender, gritty and unapologetically real way. This rehearsed reading gives audiences an opportunity to experience the work in its early stages.
