TIPS TO TAKE YOUR HAIR FROM WORK TO WOW THIS FESTIVE SEASON

For a DIY hair transformation, you can’t go wrong with a ponytail and partings combination. This look works best on second day hair. Start by prepping hair with a generous spray of Joico Body Shake (fine to medium hair) or Joico Beach Shake (medium to thick hair), both €22.95, to add texture and volume. Use a pin-tail comb to create a defined parting in the side of the hair – angle it so it comes from low on the forehead, back towards the crown of the head. Add a little back-coming the crown area with a comb or a back-combing brush, taking the hair in sections about half an inch thick, working down from the top of the crown. Use a large bristle brush to gently smooth over the outer layers of the hair, gathering up the sides and the back in a low ponytail at the nape of the neck. Lightly secure with a hair tie at the nape of the neck. For a catwalk inspired take on this, take a short length of ribbon and wrap around your hair tie. Hold in place with a good hair spray like Joico Flip-Turn, €19.50, and you’re good to go.
