Books Upstairs celebrating 40 years
“It’s our privilege to contribute to the life of the city and support its literature-lovers!”
Books Upstairs
May 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of Books Upstairs’ first opening in 1978. We are delighted they are in business and still completely independent, which means they are Dublin’s oldest independent bookshop.
For the team in Books Upstairs, bookselling means being embedded locally and from that position embracing the great international world of literature. They truly love what they do, and appreciate the countless discriminating customers who have helped them to keep the doors open over the decades!
One way they are marking this milestone year is with some unique tote bags. The artwork was created in collaboration with the not-for-profit organisation re-wrap.
