There is nothing better (arguably) than a nice cold drink to celebrate Christmas time, and there’s no place better (not arguably) to do that than Dublin, but if you aren’t sure which spots to hit up, here are our suggestions.
The Celt:
- The Celt is a traditional Irish bar on Talbot Street.
- They offer a cosy, relaxed and friendly atmosphere that you can’t find anywhere else.
- The Celt is a simple bar, doing the basics perfectly, so if you want a nice pint, a heart meal and excellent chat, you can’t go wrong with The Celt.

Dindat:
- Disndat is an eclectic pub on Dame Court.
- Between the €6 pints from Sunday to Thursday, the delicious toasties (which includes their delicious Christmas special) and their incredible cocktails, Disndat does nights out right.
- And if the rest of Disndat’s offers weren’t enough, they also host a a weekly pub quiz every Sunday.

Tapped:
- Tapped is a craft beer haven on Nassau Street.
- I wasn’t joking when I said they are a craft beer haven, they have an endless number of brews both local and international as well as the classics of Guinness, Bulmers, Heineken etc. And they also have 50 taps across their bar, so you can order almost anything that tickles your fancy.
- Tapped also has live events every day of the week, including a number of different DJ’s, Margarita Mondays and if there are any sporting events on, Tapped will show them on their TV’s.

The Grand Central:
- The Grand Central is a one of a kind bar on O’Connell Street.
- What was once a bank has now been transformed into Dublin’s most elegant bar and eatery.

The Stags Head:
- The Stags Head is a Victorian pub on Dame Court.
- The Victorian stained glass and decorations make The Stags Head a beautiful must see spot in Dublin, and one of their former patrons, Michael Collins would agree.

The Hairy Lemon:
- The Hairy Lemon is a unique bar on Stephen Street Lower.
- They are named after a dog catcher from the 1940’s who became a staple of the area.
- Their interior is decorated with memorabilia from over the years, so not only is this a fantastic spot to grab a drink but also a great spot to take in some of the stories and vibes of Dublin past.

Murrays Bar:
- Murray’s is another traditional Irish pub located on O’Connell Street Upper.
- They were established in 1797 and have been serving the people of Dublin perfectly poured pints and classic Irish meals ever since.

And there it is, from the classic pubs that have seen Dublin’s history to the modern bars that are eager to make their mark, these are the pubs that we think help make the best Christmas celebration come alive.
