The Celt has been standing on Talbot Street for 150 years, they play live Irish music 7 days a week and are open till midnight on weekends.

They have an incredible kitchen staff that serves traditional Irish dinners as well as some classic pub food options.

With all that said, it makes sense that The Celt is a pretty popular spot, so there might be a small wait if you’re looking for service on a Saturday evening. The Celt also has a selection of accommodation in the Celtic lodge.

Brannigan’s, Cathedral Street:

Brannigan’s has everything you could want from a traditional pub, delicious food, excellent pints and enough history to fill a book.

Brannigan’s likes to frequently play live Irish Music over the weekends, when they are open until midnight.

The Long Hall, South Great George’s Street:

The Long Hall is a true piece of history, being established in 1766, they have been licensed since the founding of the U.S.A.

They’re a perfect spot for any occasion, whether it’s a fancy date night, a family celebration or after work drinks, The Blind Pig is open for anyone and everyone.

They are open until 11:30 pm on weekdays and 1:30 am on weekends.

The Blind Pig is an intimate venue, so booking is highly recommended.

Cocktail classes are also held once a month, and you can also book private classes for groups of 8 or over.

4 Dame Lane:

4 Dame Lane is a fantastic cocktail bar just off Trinity Street, they frequently have live music and always have incredible vibes.

This is the perfect spot for a night out with friends, a relaxed date night or a birthday.

They are open until 2 am on weekdays and are open until 2:30 on weekends.

The Capitol Lounge, Aungier Street:

The Capitol Lounge is proud of their delicious house cocktails, their intimate and classy vibe and their incredible upstairs lounge.

In their own words “Capitol is the perfect spot for after-work drinks, pre and post dinner Cocktails or the perfect spot to start and finish a night out.”

They are open until 2:30 am from Tuesday to Saturday and are open until 1 am on Sunday and Monday.

9 Below, Stephen’s Green:

9 Below is a chic speakeasy located in the former basement of the Hibernian Club.

They are a unique and intimate venue that is perfect for any event, from meetings to team drinks to special engagements, 9 below is the perfect spot for anything.

They are closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, open until 12:30 am on Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

Bars with Live Music & DJs

Energy-focused venues where music is a draw — not background.

Pygmalion, Powerscourt Townhouse Centre:

Pygmalion frequently hosts live DJ sets, so if you’re looking for electronic music, house music or disco, they’ve got you covered.

They have an intimate dance floor in the venue so if you’re looking for a dance, you got it.

If you are looking to get into Pygmalion, be aware that there is frequently a cover charge, due to how often there are events hosted.

They are open until 3 am every day except for Sunday, where they close at 1:30 am.

Wigwam, Middle Abbey Street:

Zozimus also features a lively dance floor.

Zozimus has no cover charge, but is frequently very busy, so reservations are highly recommended.

They are open until 12:30 am on Sunday, Wednesdays and Thursdays, open until 2:30 am on Fridays and Saturdays, and is closed all day on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Mary’s Bar & Hardware, Wicklow Street:

With high-stool lined counters and sofa lined booths, Mary’s Bar is perfect no matter what the occassion.
