The wait is over. Today, Ireland’s most spectacular Christmas experience, Elf Town, officially opens its doors in Dublin’s RDS and at Galway Racecourse next week on November 21st kicking off what promises to be its biggest and most magical season yet after a stellar sell out year in 2024.
Elf Town returns with expanded capacity, new features, and an even more immersive journey, welcoming families from across Ireland and beyond into a world where children don’t just meet Santa, they truly believe in the magic.
With over €3.7 million invested in 2025, the experience is now open and running until Christmas Eve, offering over 90 minutes of theatrical storytelling, interactive sets, and festive enchantment, including a one-on-one moment with Santa Claus, who greets each child by name and knows a little magical secret about them.
“We’ve waited all year for this day,” said Elf Town Co-Founder Barry Battle. “Elf Town truly is magic, not just for the kids but for the whole family. We know how rare and precious these moments are, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Elf Town.”
Families arriving from today will step into the Elf-ification Station, receive their Elf Passport, and journey through a series of hand-built, film-set-quality rooms including:

Jack Frost’s Ice House: the only real-ice experience of its kind in the world

Santa’s Reindeer Stables: with live reindeer (Comet & Cupid in Dublin, Dasher & Dancer in Galway)

The Elf Post Office: the epicentre! A magical place where every child in the world’s letters are sorted though and carefully stored for Santa’s review

Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen: where Mrs. Claus’ greets each child, shows them where she likes to prepare the meals for all the Elf’s and even bakes with them

Towering Toy Shop: each child chooses their own gift and watches it shoot down the toy slide, manned by a host of Elf’s

Santa’s parlour: they meet the big man himself, who magically knows a lot about them, wonder and awe ensue
Dublin’s RDS opens first today, Saturday, November 15th, with Galway’s doors swinging open on Friday, November 21st. Due to unprecedented demand, the Dublin site will operate seven days a week from November 21st, while Galway will be open up to six days a week through December.
“We knew Irish families deserved a Christmas experience on par with the best in the world,” added Co-Founder Anthony Hourigan. “Today proves that dream is a reality, and it’s only getting bigger.”
Over 800 seasonal staff have been hired across both sites to bring Elf Town to life. Tickets remain in high demand, with prices starting from €19.95 for adults and €29.95 for children. New payment plans have also been introduced to help families spread the cost in the run-up to Christmas.
