Last Minute Gift Ideas for Valentine’s Day
Although it happens on the same date every year, there are some of us (me included!) that like to leave things to the last minute when it comes to buying a gift for Valentine’s Day.
Thankfully, the businesses in Dublin’s city centre are great for making sure we don’t leave empty handed. Here’s some last minute gift ideas that will make sure you still have a Valentine after February 14th
Flowers
You really can’t go wrong with a fabulous bunch of flowers. If flowers aren’t for you or your significant other, why not a plant or blubs so you can use cheesy lines like… I got this so we can watch our love grow! These great flower and garden shops can help with this gift.

Chocolates
It’s been said that the way to a woman’s heart is through chocolate, and a way through a mans heart is food, which is also chocolate. Buying someone chocolate for Valentine’s Day always goes down a treat. Just make sure you get them on a full stomach because it’s never a good idea to give a box of half eaten chocolates!

Paintings and Prints
If you want someone to remember the present you got them, there’s nothing better than a painting or print that they will hang up on their wall. That way every time they walk by it, or someone comments on it, they will have to say it’s from you!

Cards
No matter what present you get, a good card should accompany it. You can get all kinds of cards from the soppy love card to the laugh out loud humorous, there’s loads to choose from. But the important thing about the card is what you say in it… Roses are Red, Violets are blue… that kind of thing might not work so it’s time to get your poetry head on!
