Written by You bought your tickets ages ago. You’ve been counting down the months and now its only days away to one of the most anticipated festivals of the year! Electric Picnic 2019 gets underway on Friday, 30th August. A visit to Dublin One will have you fully festival ready in no time!
Camping:
Right – you’ve never put up a tent in your life. You don’t even know what type of tent you need. Fear not – there are lots of specialist camping stores in Dublin One such as Ramblers Way on Mary Street, the Outdoor Adventure Store on Liffey Street and Base Camp on Jervis Street
They have tents of every type, size, shape and colour and sound advice to go with it! They also stock all the other things you’ll need such as sleeping bags, ground mats, cooking utensils and back packs to carry them all in!
Clothing:
Get your festival look down to perfection with a visit to any of the great shops and department stores in Dublin One. Penneys, New Look, Top Shop, River Island, H&M, Pull & Bear – you’ll find them all in Dublin One along with many more! These stores also have a great selection of sunglasses, cross over bags and rain wear.
You probably know by now that ’90s Irish pop sensation B*Witched have been announced as the headline act for Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage – no better reason to stock up on your double denim!
Beauty:
On arrival at Electric Picnic you will be preened, clean and looking fabulous. Don’t let yourself slip from fab to drab over the course of the weekend! Remember to pack the following essentials: Baby wipes, dry shampoo, hair bobbins, deodorant, toothpaste, tooth brush, sticking plasters, hand sanitisers, toilet paper and ear plugs. You’ll find all the toiletries you’ll need in Boots, Tesco, Dunnes Stores and Dealz.
Avoid hair-mares by getting your hair braided. Braids will withstand all weathers and dancing and require no maintenance. Your phone is going to be busy over the weekend. Make sure it’s is always charged with a Power Bar. This handy little device will charge your phone seven times. You’ll find these along with torches, locks and other practical bits n’ bobs in Tiger in GPO arcade or Ilac Centre.
Make your tent stand out!
To make it easier to find your tent, among the hundreds of others, decorate it with flags or bunting. Make your own for maximum effect. Hickey’s Fabrics have a huge range of fabrics to choose from.
