Arnotts Reveal their Christmas Lights and Windows
It’s officially Christmas at Arnotts Department Store, as they revealed their Christmas windows with a switch on lights event!
On Monday evening, November 5th, the iconic store celebrated the festive season by unveiling this year’s Christmas window displays. Designed by Irish illustrator Emma Sheridan, herself and the Arnotts Creative Team worked collaboratively since last January to create the story of ‘Ben’ and his family having a day out Christmas shopping.
What you’ll see is through the eyes of the main character, as little Ben create a theatrical, colourful, experience in the windows, with 2D and 3D effects. There are interactive hand prints at children’s eye levels to allow them to create even more special effects in the windows this year – further adding to the wonder of Christmas at Arnotts.
The switch on event was MC’ed by presenter Sineád Kennedy, alongside song & dance by a children’s choir from The Gaiety School of Acting and artificial snow falling from the top of the building. Crowds gathered to the windows surrounding the young choir before Sineád Kennedy counted everyone down. Arnotts then illuminated their building, with lights dotting the windows, their Christmas trees and funky cars that sits atop.
