What’s on in Dublin Town this weekend (April 6-8 2018)
There’s loads happening in the city this weekend (6th – 9th of Feb) and we have a few to share!

INCOGNITO 2018
This exhibition is currently on April 6th and 7th in Solomon Gallery on Balfe St next door to the Westbury Hotel.
This is an exhibition with a difference. Buyers are given the chance to buy postcard size artworks worth thousands of euro for just €50. Over 1,000 artists from around the world donated over 1,500 original miniature art pieces. Each of these original art pieces will be sold to the public on a first-come-first-served basis! The twist is that no one will know the identity of the artist until after they buy the piece. All the proceeds made from the event go to the Jack & Jill foundation.
A Night For Aware in The Olympia Theatre
On Friday 6th April 2018, Irish artists come together for one night only, all in aid of mental health charity, Aware. Taking to the stage tonight is Aslan lead singer Christy Dignam, In Tua Nua, Mundy, The Pale, Cry Monster Cry, Barq, Jem Mitchell, Trouble Pilgrims and The Skatuesques. Tickets priced from €25 including booking fee €1 restoration levy on sale now via Ticketmaster.ie
Gin Experience Dublin!
Gin enthusiasts there’s a new festival in DublinTown and it’s just for you. Over two days April 6 & & you can sip & sample gins of every kind with bespoke serves, explore food pairings that are unique with gin, attend a masterclass or foraging lesson with Ireland’s leading ambassadors or try a gin cocktail from some of Ireland’s most esteemed bars and restaurants. The event is taking place in the iconic Printworks at Dublin Castle, Dame Street, Dublin 2 on Friday April 6th 6:00pm – 9:30pm; Saturday Day: 7th April: 1:00pm- 4:30pm Saturday Evening: 7th April: 5; 30 pm- 9:00pm. Tickets are €40:00 plus booking fee and €10.00 from every ticket will be donated to charity partner; DEBRA Ireland along with money raised from a raffle during the event. Scene + Heard Festival 2018 Revisited at Smock Alley Theatre on Exchange St.
Due to the great snowmageddon (storm Emma), a number of shows had to be rescheduled from the Scene + Heard Festival. The festival is about artists be it Music, Theatre, Comedy, Dance and Spoken Word genres being asked to bring their most original, thought provoking, funny and heart wrenching ideas to stage to inspire the smock alley AUDIENCES and to encourage them to give HONEST feedback on the work in development that they see. The rescheduled shows have been running all week and there are a few more you can catch today and tomorrow Saturday 7th. More details here
Theodora | G.F.Handel with the Irish Baroque Orchestra at Christ Church Cathedral
Theodora features some of the finest music that Handel ever wrote, including his own favourite chorus. This event takes place on Sunday, April 8th in the stunning surrounds of Christ Church Cathedral and is sung from memory by the young voices of Sestina who is joined by the pre-eminent Irish Baroque Orchestra for their first collaboration. Doors open at 7.30pm and start time is 8pm. Tickets cost €20. More details here
