Hands-on Creative Workshop: Garment Collage
Soundless Art x CasaCor
Join us for an evening of experimental making where clothing becomes a canvas. This hands-on workshop invites participants to explore personal world-building through garments, treating a shirt like a collage.
Using simple techniques such as cutting, layering, and reconstruction, we’ll experiment with how clothing carries identity through stains, repairs and textures. Inspired by the DADA movement and the idea of thinking-through-making, the session focuses on process rather than perfection no sewing experience needed.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Rework a shirt using collage and reconstruction techniques
• Deconstruct and reassemble garment elements
• Alter sleeves, add pockets, elastic cuffs, and new details
• Create wearable textures through layering and fabric play
• Explore intuitive making in a relaxed, experimental setting meeting like minded people.
Guests are welcome to bring a shirt they’d like to transform. Garments and materials will also be provided.
Tea and coffee included.
