Join artist Martina La Trobe-Bateman to learn traditional papermaking techniques and create your own handmade linen & cotton rag and recycled paper. Experiment with delicate colour and ink washes inspired by the ancient manuscripts in the Manuscripts and the Mind exhibition. Participants will also learn a simple bookbinding technique to make their own codices. During the course of this creative two-day workshop delivered through demonstration and individual tuition, we will consider the relationship between paper, ink and the making of meaning.
