Lisa Kay (mandolin, vocals) put her first bluegrass band together way back in 2005 after performing and traveling with other bands since 1989. Based out of northern Virginia in the US, she’s also recorded and performed with East Of Monroe, Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike, and Level Best—all of whom have toured Ireland and the UK multiple times. She performed with Valerie for 11 years, and recently retired from her group to make time for some of her own music again. As a radio announcer and MC for over 25 years, the stage is her home and she loves to entertain folks with soaring harmonies and serious bluegrass played right in the groove. She’ll be joined by long-time bandmate, friend, and castle maven Joe Hannabach on bass, Dean Phillips on banjo (formerly with Danny Paisley), Jack Dunlap on guitar (Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, among other hot picking projects), and will be joined for the first time by fellow MC and singer/guitarist Justin Mason.
