The Artist’s Eye: Josh Tonsfeldt

As a part of 'The Artist's Eye' series Josh Tonsfeldt, invited by longtime friend Uri Aram, exhibits his work at the Douglas Hyde Gallery. 'The Artist Eye' is a series in which the artist exhibiting in Gallery 1, currently Uri Aran, invites an influential artist to present work in Gallery 2.

Artist Josh Tonsfeldt's work is rooted in everyday life. His practices focus on how the accumulation of small things build a larger story. He integrates photos and videos into sculptures and installations capturing intimate, unscripted moments. His work plays upon the relationship between the subject and the camera as the camera acts as both a frame and a force of its own.
