The Amniotics are a four-piece alternative band inspired by everything from Pavement, Patti Smith and Le Tigre to more contemporary artists such as Courtney Barnett and Wet Leg. Known for their raucous live performances and advocacy for women and NB folks in the industry, they released their debut track “Boomerang”, a thrashing cynical take on the Dublin art scene, in April 2023, and received both national and international acclaim from the likes of Hot Press, TILT 2FM, and Get in Her Ears.
Their second single,”HMPB”, mixed and mastered in-house by the band, has been an even bigger success, specifically appreciated by both national and overseas broadcasting stations, including RTÉ.
The Amniotics have played in the most popular Dublin venues, from The Button Factory to Whelan’s, and showcased at Ireland Music Week 2024. They played their first show in London at the Loud Women Fest 2024. After self-producing and releasing their third single “Mulholland Drive”, they are now about to release their first EP. The first two extracts, “Recovering Catholic” and “Safety” are out now.
