From 27 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, visitors of all ages can enjoy a festive journey through beautifully detailed moving displays that bring the story of Christmas to life. Step inside to watch the Nativity unfold, follow the journey of the Wise Men, and discover a series of captivating scenes that celebrate the wonder, joy, and true meaning of the season.
Now in its 69th year, The Moving Crib remains one of Dublin’s most treasured Christmas traditions, enchanting children, adults, and generations of visitors alike since it first opened its doors in 1956.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, on Sunday, 7 December, the Bray Gospel Choir will fill the rooms with joy and harmony, performing four uplifting shows throughout the day, from 12:30pm to 3:30pm , featuring Christmas carols, gospel favourites, and soulful harmonies. No booking is needed — just drop in and let the Christmas spirit soar!
As always, entry is completely free, making it an ideal Christmas outing for families. However, donations of any size are warmly appreciated to help sustain this cherished Christmas tradition. This year, The Moving Crib is also running a major fundraiser to support essential refurbishments and repairs ahead of next Christmas, ensuring it continues to inspire and delight visitors for generations to come.
Families and individuals can visit at any time without booking, while schools and larger groups are encouraged to contact 01 874 5465 or visit www.stmartin.ie/crib to arrange their visit in advance.
The Moving Crib offers a truly memorable Christmas experience, one filled with nostalgia, wonder, and joy right in the heart of Dublin city.
