St. Patricks Day Parade 2018
St. Patrick's Day is fast approaching which means the parade is well and truly underway!
The 17th of March is one of the biggest days in Ireland each year and this year will be no different. The St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on the 17th of March at 12 noon.
Kicking off at Parnell Sq. North and weaving it's way through the capital city to finish on Kevin Street, it promises to bring colour and flair! The theme of this years parade is Home is 'Where the Heart is'.
To celebrate this theme there will be community groups and pageant companies from all over Ireland demonstrating performances and street theatre around subjects such as precious moments treasured by the family clock and 'Home' as a tribe, family and shared experience.
Back again this year is City Fusion, the Festival's in house community arts participation project. They will be engaging with groups and communities from a variety of backgrounds to produce a pageant. This year you can expect to see over 2,000 band members from far and wide, producing uplifting music and rhythms throughout the city.
