Saoirse Casey is an Irish singer songwriter, pianist and composer. Growing up in a musical family with parents who were singer-songwriters, she taught herself to play the piano and guitar and began writing songs from a young age. As a teen artist, her first performance was supporting Declan O Rourke in the INEC and she has also supported Irish artists such as Kila and Aslan, and Cathy Davey. Since then, Saoirse has performed many headline gigs and supports for Irish and international artists and festivals, including Una Healy New Years Eve special, Whelan’s ‘ones to watch’, and the Vicar Street Halloween concert with other artists. Her first ep, “Carousel” was about a love story set in the backdrop of a dying world, and was handmade and stitched by herself and friends. Her debut album Lunaria, (meaning lunar aria or ‘moon song’), was released both in Ireland under her own label and re-released in Japan with Siki Label.
Saoirse’s soundscape is a perfect blend of the dreamy and earthy, alternating between the familiar and the other-worldly, and reflects her evolving musical journey as she continues to explore and be inspired by her dreams and experiences. With over 350,000 streams on Spotify, extensively toured Japan, France, Austria, the UK, and all across Ireland in many intimate and popular venues and continues to hone her distinct artistic voice.
