The Sunday Independent’s Rock Against Homelessness in aid of Focus Ireland returns to 3Olympia Theatre on 17th March 2026, with an exceptional St. Patrick’s Night concert headlined by The Sharon Shannon Big Band. This year’s event brings together some of Ireland’s most iconic and dynamic performers in a powerful show of solidarity with the homeless community.

The evening features what promises to be electrifying performances from Bob Geldof, viral sensation and multi-talented performer Garron Noone, renowned cabaret artist Camille O’Sullivan, acclaimed act Alky, and singer-songwriter Colm Lynch. Guiding the audience through the night will be broadcaster, actor, and presenter MC Laura Whitmore. There will also be some special guests on the night.

The Sharon Shannon Big Band for this special event will as usual, showcase an extraordinary lineup of Ireland’s top musicians, including Alan Connor (keys, guitars, percussion), Gerry O’Connor (fiddle, banjo), and legendary saxophonist Richie Buckley, bringing a rich, expansive sound to the stage.

Now in its eleventh year, Rock Against Homelessness has established itself as a major annual concert for Focus Ireland  – acts that have played over the years include Fontaines D.C., Kneecap, Dermot Kennedy, Lyra, Imelda May, Paul Brady, Glen Hansard and Mary Wallopers.

Using the unifying force of music to support frontline services for people experiencing homelessness across Ireland, this year’s concert promises  to be an uplifting celebration of Irish music, culture, and community spirit, performed in one of the country’s most beloved venues on its most iconic night of the year.

MC for the evening Laura Whitmore said: “It’s really important for me to be back hosting Rock Against Homelessness in aid of Focus Ireland in the new year. Music brings people together in the toughest times and this concert is vital in raising money and awareness for the current homelessness crisis. It is completely unacceptable that 5000 children are without a home in Ireland. No child should experience that. We all need to remember that behind every percentage and number is a real person or family that needs a place to call home. This is a crisis that should not be happening.

This terrible situation would be even worse without the great work of Focus Ireland and the fundraising concerts like this raise – they enable specialist support for children who are homeless and help protect from the trauma caused by their losing their homes.”
