National Services Day September 1st
A national Thank You to the brave people who keep us safe every day.
National Services Day is organised each year by FESSEF, an entirely volunteer-led effort. The day is dedicated to service personnel who protect the safety and security of citizens. Their mission is simple: promote awareness and goodwill among the public for the role played by those in service, and to create opportunities for the individual services to show their appreciation for the ongoing support they receive from members of the public. We thank our men and women within the Gardaí Siochana, Civil Defense, Dublin Fire Brigade, Dublin Ambulance Service, and Coast Guard.
National Services Day Itinerary:
11am-3.30pm - Dublin Castle
From abseiling to bomb disposal, watch the pros put their skills to the test. Kids (and adults) can experience the vehicles and equipment up close too.

The Parade
Parnell Square to Dublin Castle
Join the crowds as they watch a thousand Services personnel and their vehicles wind their way through the city. Follow them to Dublin Castle to see the vehicles and equipment put through its paces in the exciting Skills Display.
The Bands
An international line up
Bands have always been a big part of the spectacle and this year is no exception. DublinTown is proud to welcome the bands of foreign services including the Pipes and Drums of the Irish Regiment of the South African Army.
There is also an 'Emergency Services Gala Concert' taking place on Saturday September 8th, in the National Concert Hall. This concert will include The Band of an Garda Siochana, National Ambulance Pipe and Drums, Dublin Fire Brigade Pipe Band, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, Prison Service Choir, Prison Service Pipe Band, Revenue Choir, The Voices. Guest artists will include Sibéal Ní Chasaide, The Bonny Man and October Fires.
