Mallory Chipman is an award-winning singer-songwriter-producer, celebrated for her acrobatic vocals and the tender yet powerful way she weaves story into song. Her latest album, Songs to a Wild God, hit #1 on CKUA, #5 on the Folk Alliance International Charts, and has been featured on NPR and SiriusXM Radio. She has toured across Canada, Europe, and Japan, has opened for artists such as Madeleine Peyroux, and has sung back-up for the iconic rock band, Heart. While reflecting contemporary themes, the quality of Chipman’s craft “places her amidst the longer tradition of the great singer-songwriters” (Americana UK), establishing her as an instant classic in the Canadian folk music scene.

“The music is powerful: themes of saying yes to yourself, empowering yourself, and refusing to say no. I think Maddisun takes her own advice. Her performance is driven with rhythm and energy.” – Roots Music Canada
Sheenagh creates a sound that feels classic and fresh, drawing inspiration from the powerfully vulnerable Stevie Nicks, the frank & poetic storytelling of Townes Van Zandt, and the dreamy Americana sound of The Chicks. Her songs explore the profound heartbreak of a crumbling father-daughter relationship, emigrating from Ireland in search of a better life, and the turbulent transformations of a young woman in her twenties. She has forged her voice performing across Europe & the USA, including New York, the Canary Islands, Greece, and Austria, and making fans while busking on the streets of Ireland.
Named one to watch at the UK’s Americana Black Deer Festival, Sheenagh Shannon approaches life with youthful reverence tempered by grounded wisdom, embracing every experience as a lesson to transmute into art.
