“For a somewhat “complicated” sounding song, Ghost is probably one of the most simple things I’ve ever written from a thematic point of view. It’s essentially about how your sense of self will always come back to save you or guide you in the end. No matter where you are right now, or whatever direction you’re headed in, that person you were in the beginning and who you still are at your core will come back to you and make your experiences start to feel authentic again and everything’ll be grand. That sounds dramatic (and it probably is) but I’ve also heard so many other lovely interpretations from my friends and family about what it means to them, so whether it’s that sentiment you take from the song or a completely different one of your own, I hope it helps you a tiny bit or at least gives you something fun to listen to xx”
