Learn the story one of the worst famines in history and one of the most catastrophic events from Ireland’s turbulent history. This exhibition tells the story of the Irish Potato Famine / Great Hunger and includes a documentary film, storyboards and original Famine artefacts.

Opening March 15th and running every day 12:00 to 18:00 until September 30th, this exhibition will discuss the controversial ‘Famine’ and of the millions of people who died from starvation and disease, as well as the millions more forced to flee. As a part of the richest empire in the world at the time there was sufficient food in the country through out the ‘Famine’ and yet this catastrophe, often referred to as the ‘Great Hunger,’ still occurred.
