Dublin Liffey Swim 100th Anniversary Gallery at Om Diva
Dublin's iconic Liffey Swim celebrates its 100th anniversary this August and Damn Fine Print sure are celebrating!
Marking the monumental occasion with a new pop-up gallery, Damn Fine Print celebrate the 100th Dublin Liffey Swim at Om Diva, Drury Street for two weeks from August 1st-13th, 2019.
Started in 1920, the Liffey Swim is one of those unique to Dublin spectacles that's inspired generations of artists, photographers and painters. And this year is no different as 500 brave women and men are set to race their way through the currents, winding their way down through the city centre to where the river meets the sea.
An incredible sight, Damn Fine Print are commemorating with the help of a number of the best artists and designers in Dublin. Annie Atkins, Steve Simpson, Niall McCormack, Fuchsia MacAree, Alan Dunne, Conor Nolan, Peter Donnelly, M&E and Steve McCarthy are just a few of the super talented creatives coming together for this show. Limited edition hand-pulled screenprints have been created to mark this historic event.
Damn Fine Print also wish for you to join in on the launch night, Thursday, August 1st at the new pop-up gallery at Om Diva - only 50 metres from Grogan's pub, in case you were wondering!
All prints will be for sale, signed by the artists but there are only a limited number of 100 per print! Prints will cost €90 unframed/€140 framed. For those partaking in the race, there is a little discount too. Prints are also available to buy at DamnFinePrint.com.
The the big race itself takes place at midday 12pm on Saturday, August 3rd. Make sure you're there to cheer them on.
