Whether you managed to get tickets for the long awaited reunion tour, this is your chance to uncover the real life history of Oasis.

It’s impossible to overstate the significance of Noel and Liam Gallagher reuniting for a world tour. Their long-standing feud has been well documented, with the band’s last performance together all the way back in 2009. For years, the idea of an Oasis reunion seemed far-fetched, but in 2024, the brothers shocked the world by announcing they would be hitting the road again in 2025. Even after the announcement, doubts lingered: could they really stay civil long enough to pull it off? Yet here we are. The tour is underway, and it is earning rave reviews.

On August 16th and 17th, the Gallaghers will take to the stage at Croke Park, playing to more than 160,000 fans over two nights. While the band’s return is a cause for global celebration, their appearance in Dublin carries added weight. The brothers’ Irish heritage is well known: born in Manchester to an Irish mother from Mayo and father from Meath, they spent many of their childhood summers in the west of Ireland. Their bond with Ireland runs deep, and the Irish are more than happy to welcome them home.

The Definitely Irish Oasis Tour shines a spotlight on just how deeply rooted that heritage is, from the cultural backdrop that shaped their music to the emotional pull of home that still echoes through their lyrics.

When Definitely Maybe debuted in 1994, it was an instant success, both critically and commercially. Noel once described it as “the sound of five second-generation Irish Catholics coming out of a council estate.” Former guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs took it a step further, saying it’s the Celtic blood of cities like Liverpool and Manchester that explains their outsized impact on music.

As the Croke Park gigs approach, now’s the perfect time to swot up on your Oasis trivia, dust off your vinyls, and relive the sound of a band that never really left our hearts. Following the tour, don’t forget to check out our limited edition Oasis merch in the gift shop.
