Culture Night 2026 Returns!
Culture Night 2026 is back on Friday, September 18th, bringing a fantastic evening of free culture, creativity, music, arts, and unique experiences to nationwide.
Organised by the Arts Council and funded by Dublin City Council, Culture Night is a nationwide celebration that encourages people of all ages to discover and enjoy Ireland’s cultural scene. For one special evening, venues across the country will open their doors later than usual, offering free events, performances, workshops, exhibitions, and special experiences.
Whether you’re interested in history, live music, visual arts, theatre, wellbeing, or nightlife, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Here are some of our top Culture Night picks in Dublin City Centre.
The Church Cafe Bar
Step inside one of Dublin’s most historic buildings and join a free guided tour exploring the fascinating story of The Church, from its origins as St. Mary’s Church to the vibrant venue it is today. Visitors can also enjoy traditional Irish music and dancing throughout the evening.
Tours from 16:00 – 20:00 (hourly)

Sol Art Gallery
Meet artist Kevin McNamara for an engaging artist talk and live painting demonstration. Learn more about self-portraiture while gaining insight into the creative process behind his upcoming exhibition.

Powerscourt Townhouse Centre
