Chinese New Year Chinnery Gin Cocktail Event with The Little Pig

Join Chinnery Gin and The Little Pig to celebrate Chinese New Year with an evening of cocktails inspired by China!

Another great event on the cards, join Chinnery Gin and The Little Pig on Saturday, February 8th at 5pm for a very special cocktail event to celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Rat. Led by the award-winning & innovative mixologist Pat Thomas, guests will discover an array of flavours from China throughout the event, including oolong tea and osmanthus flower that are signature ingredients of the gin.

The Little Pig is renowned for its secrecy, being one of Dublin's only hidden speakeasys, while delivering delicious cocktails time and time again. Inspired by China, you will enjoy two expertly made Chinnery Gin drinks within the luxurious Prohibition-style speakeasy setting. A nod to these beautiful rooms of years past with plush décor, fine wines, and the highest quality spirits, The Little Pig is the sister bar to The Blind Pig, the brainchild from award-winning bartender Paul Lambert, that's a truly sophisticated and opulent 1920s speakeasy. In addition to your gin drinks, you will also have cocktail tasters from The Little Pig's specially created Chinese New Year menu, that feature a handful of delectable cocktails to reflect the Asian flavours.

Thereafter there will also be a tasting session, during which Pat guides guests through the story of gin and cocktails and will demonstrate along the way. Following this Chinnery Gin co-founder Marie Byrne will delve into the story behind Chinnery Gin and its namesake, the Georgian-era painter George Chinnery who left Dublin for Canton, China in the early 1800s, and is known as the artist of record of the Old China Trade.
