After two headline Irish tours on her 125cc scooter, Caoi de Barra is leaving the bike at home and hitting the road with a full band for the first time this December.
De Barra became a staple of the Irish music scene as part of alt-pop trio Wyvern Lingo. Since the band’s hiatus in 2022, she’s thrown herself into collaboration, touring and recording with artists including Wallis Bird and Grammy Award–winner Allison Russell.
This December tour brings together a stellar line up of musicians that she’s met along the way: bassist/guitarist Caoimhe Hopkinson (Allison Russell), sound wizard and clarinetist Aidan Floatinghome, and, in a unusual twist, Wallis Bird on drums.
Her solo work blends candid lyricism, soulful guitar, and soaring vocals, drawing inspiration from Jeff Buckley, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. De Barra’s debut EP Thicket (2022) and single Treehouse (2023) received widespread critical acclaim, with her highly anticipated debut album due for release in 2026.
Support acts include Brian Mooney’s solo project, The Next New Low, and longtime friend and collaborator, Chicago’s own Elizabeth Moen.
