For almost twenty years, A Place To Bury Strangers have been considered one of the most intense live bands. Their sound is loud, raw, and hypnotic a wild mix of post-punk, noise rock, shoegaze, and psychedelic experimentation that speaks to both body and mind. With their current album, Synthesizer, the New Yorkers once again prove why they’re called “the loudest band in New York”: crashing guitars, shimmering walls of feedback, and driving beats meet surprisingly catchy melodies. They manage to unite chaos and clarity, darkness and energy into a dense, electrifying sound. What is impressive on record becomes a full experience live blinding, intense, and uncompromising.
The band have also announced their new rarities album, Rare And Deadly, releasing on April 3 through Dedstrange. The first single, “Everyone’s The Same,” is already out, complete with a video directed and edited by lead singer Oliver Ackermann.
Don’t miss out their return in Dublin, tickets on sale now, +18 show (refunds will be available in case the show is postponed or cancelled).
