Tengu Culture Night returns this year with a focus on soundsystem culture once again.
We have invited artists who represent the best of bass, jungle & dub in the country to play on Rub A Dub HiFi & Mighty JAR soundsystems. Angel Tabris, Ambit, Rustal (LIVE) & Dub Revival will perform alongside Cian Finn who will guide us through the night.
This event is supported by the The Department of Culture, Communications and Sport’s Grassroots Venues Support Scheme, beacuse of this entry will be 5EUR for the night.
Dublin-based DJ and producer Angel Tabris draws from a love of jungle and everything low end – crafting immersive journeys through high BPM sets. Joining her is Ambit, one of Ireland’s leading selectors across jungle, dnb & dubstep, whose productions have landed on labels including Bait and 140Ninja. Furthermore we have Rustal (LIVE), whose hardware performances explore hypnotic dub techno through analogue synthesis, rhythm and rough textures and completing the line up we have two soundsystem culture heavyweights coming together for Rub A Dub Hifi and Mighty Jar’s new Dub Revival alias who open things up. Galway’s Cian Finn hosts the evening, bringing his broad musical background spanning folk, dub and reggae.
