Today, February 16, marks the start of Chinese New Year and Dublin Chinese New Year Festival here are just some of the things you can do this weekend as part of the festival this year:
To mark the Chinese tradition of making dumplings with all the family for Chinese New Year, Asia Market are hosting a Dumpling Day. Go and watch Mama Wong make traditional savory dumplings and even learn to wrap and make your own. You’ll also have a chance to learn about dumplings, what they symbolize and where they originate from. With lots to try and taste, its guaranteed fun for all the family.

Chinese New Year Food Extravaganza
Pop into Asia Market on Drury Street for a taste of the Chinese market during this years Chinese New Year celebrations. This free event will allow you to try some exotic fruits, dumplings, flavored oils, drinks, sweet treats and snacks along with many more. It’s the perfect opportunity for whole family to get a taste of some authentic Chinese products.

Scene and Heard Festival
Smock Alley presents the Scene and Heard Festival 2018. The festival is a chance for artists to showcase their work and new ideas in front of a live audience, they also have a chance to receive feedback about their pieces. They’ve got a mix of light hearted comedy to more serious matters such as the housing crisis. Running until the 3rd of March, you’re bound to find something you’ll enjoy.
