The Rolling Donut have merged the two and present Gin Donuts! Oh yes!
In celebration of their Ruby Birthday, The Rolling Donut, best known for creating Dublin’s finest artisan sweet donuts from the iconic kiosk on O’Connell Street, have collaborated with Bloom Floral Gin to create two mouthwatering Gin Donuts – Gin, Lime, and Elderflower Flavour and Strawberry Gin Flavour.
Expect bursts of lime mascarpone, strawberry fillings and elderflower glazes with floral gin undertones.
The Irish-owned business was founded by Michael Quinlan forty years ago and his daughter Lisa has recently taken The Rolling Donut reigns expanding the range to sourdough and vegan donuts with four outlets across Dublin, two of which are in the city centre.
Now the donut masters have teamed up with award-winning Bloom Floral Gin for these limited edition creations.
The Rolling Donut Gin donuts are available at all four stores for the entire month of August. Plus to celebrate the launch, all stores will have a delicious donut wall where customers can play games and win some mouth-watering prizes.
Bloom Floral Gin was created by Joanne Moore – the first female gin master in the world. She draws on inspiration from nature, as Bloom’s botanicals are carefully blended to create a distinctively delicate, fresh and floral gin. The perfect combination of flavour! The donuts promise to compliment both the floral flavours of the gin and the signature filled donuts we know and love.
“We love doing collaborations and Bloom Floral Gin was the perfect summery fit. It’s something I’ve been working on for quite some time now with my bakers and I can’t wait for our customers to try them,” says Lisa Quinlan, second generation-owner of The Rolling Donut.
What’s in them?
The Gin, Lime, and Elderflower flavour: A donut filled with a light and gin and lime mascarpone topped with a delicious fresh gin lime and elderflower glaze.
The Strawberry Gin flavour: gin infused strawberry mascarpone with a pink sourdough base with a strawberry and gin infused icing, a real taste of summer!
