The Exchequer, located on Exchequer Street (if you didn’t already guess) offer wholesome, fresh and hearty gastropub food served in comfortable, casual and relaxed surroundings. It is all about flavour and taste and these are delivered no matter what the dish. They cater for small and large group events and the kitchen are very willing to accommodate guests with any food specificities. The Exchequer believe in putting Irish produce to the forefront of their ethos by using nationally sourced seasonal produce, consisting of Irish meats, seafood from Irish waters and giving nod to the Irish artisan producer.
Vegetarian options are becoming the talk of the town lately and the Exchequer offer a beautiful veggie dish of crisp polenta cake with squash and ginger puree, caramelised onions, portobello mushroom, cashew nuts, orange and cress salad. The mix of flavours in this dish speak for themselves with no need for meat. The menu also offers a hearty dish of pork belly with chorizo and white beans and a beautiful pan fried hake with curried bulgar wheat. Beautiful spices and smokey flavours diffuse through the different dishes.
The Exchequer pride themselves in mixology and unique cocktails. Booklets charting the evolution of the cocktail are dotted around the bar and restaurant giving guests an insight into the drinks available.
