The Deadly Team Behind Eatyard Announce 4-Day Food Festival
The Wine and Cheese Festival has moved to a bigger location and promises to be one of the best weekends of the Summer
The Wine and Cheese Festival made it’s debut in Eatyard in March last year and ended up being a colossal success, with more than 6000 people in attendance. The Bodytonic team (who are the lads behind the popular street food market Eatyard on South Richmond Street) have now secured a larger, leafier city centre location: the Iveagh Gardens.
Running from four days from Thursday to Sunday, August 8th-11th, it’s set to be one of the most anticipated festivals of the summer season.
Eoin Cregan, director of festivals and events at the Bodytonic entertainment group (who also own popular bar and eatery WigWam) said: “Part of fun of Eatyard is thinking up monthly themed events and Wine & Cheese was one of the first. We just put up a Facebook event and people really got into it, sharing and tagging. We had thousands attending after a few days. We have big plans for this event and needed more space.”
The event promises to bring independent wine shops and both cheese and charcuterie producers to the gorgeous greenery of the Iveagh Gardens. The Eatyard stage will host wine and cheese related entertainment and Bodytonic will do what they do best and bring music and dance to the festival.
