The Collective Designs Birthday Jewellery Collection
Jewellery design in Ireland is always changing and evolving, and at The Collective in the Creative Quarter, design label Gallardo & Blaine have just released a birthday collection to celebrate the boutique.
Boutique owner Madeleine Blaine has been in the jewellery business for years, and recently she celebrated one year of success with The Collective following a strong year of trading. Located on Drury Street, The Collective is a unique jewellery boutique in the basement of No. 24. Here a selection of Irish and European designers display their beautiful jewellery for customers, including Madeleine’s own label Gallardo & Blaine Designs.
Gallardo & Blaine Designs is a a jewellery label that crafts pieces in Ireland and the UK, and now the label has added a new designs to their range, having specially created birthday pendants. In keeping with the nature inspired themes that the label is known for, these new pieces pay homage to one of Dublin’s shrewdest residents, the Fox, while a second celebrates a seasonal visitor to our shores, the Swallow, heralding the arrival of summer in the city.
The Fox features a cute sterling silver fox pendant with a gold-plated tail finish, similarly the Swallow is a textured sterling silver pendant with a gold-plated tail, and both come on a 16″ silver chain. These will join others in the Wildlife Pendant collection, including the Hare, the Bee and the Honey Bee, as well as the all silver Dragonfly and Stag.
New also for 2018, The Collective will be hosting evening workshops where participants are taught how to make a sterling silver hammered ring from scratch. Individual bookings are available through Airbnb or, for groups of eight people maximum, special bookings can be organised directly via the store.
